Work Experience Programmes

Cumbria EBP offers two types of work experience programmes: Block Placement and Extended Placement.

What is Work Experience

Work Experience is a placement on employers’ premises in which a learner carries out a particular task or duty, or range of tasks or duties, more or less as would an employee, but with the emphasis on the learning aspects of the experience. Work Experience can be for pre 16 or post 16 students and can be either block or extended.

Employer Support

By offering Work Experience placements, employers provide students with access to a diverse range of opportunities and experiences within the work place. We can guide you through health and safety legislation and processes relating to Work Experience to minimise the impact on your resources and operations.

We can also support you as outlined below, but if you have a specific need, please contact our Work Experience team to discuss this further.
